Happy Fall Y’all!
We are fast approaching our 2018 harvest and that means our annual harvest day, October 6th is almost here. We wanted to give you some insight on what to expect and how to plan.
What to expect:
This event does not require reservations.
We will hold this day rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. Bus tours will run from 9a.m. to 11:30a.m. We’ll have three constant running buses picking up guests at our warehouse next to parking. So for those with walking constraints, not to worry, there isn’t much. You will be guided by one of our family members throughout the marsh property where you will get to see every stage of harvest up close. The most popular attraction has been our floating bed of cranberries, where for $10 you can rent a pair of hip waders and have a once in a lifetime photo op in the bed.
I would set aside 2 hours for the entire experience. Our fresh fruit warehouse will be open featuring fresh cranberries, dried cranberries, cranberry honey, coffee, cran-apple cider and some sweet treats!
We ask that no pets attend the tour. This is the only day we host harvest to the public and the hip boot experience. If you are visiting the area in October, there is an excellent chance you’ll see harvest happening during the weekdays between Warrens and Wisconsin Rapids on the cranberry highway.
If you can’t make it this year, we always hold this event the first Saturday in October!
Our Berry Best,
The Van Wychen’s
